"Very large Trader Joes with a huge army of cashiers ready to serve, solid helpful and knowledgeable staff throughout. It gets quite crowded because it is in the Food court corner of Dekalb Market Hall. Still if you are in need for good quality and healthy food, this is your space."

"I recently visited Trader Joe's at City Point in Downtown Brooklyn, and while the experience was generally positive, it felt noticeably different from other Trader Joe's locations I've visited, particularly the stores in Queens. The day I stopped by, the store was dealing with a refrigeration issue that affected some of the refrigerated cases. Rather than leaving products exposed to improper temperatures, the staff removed much of the meat and other temperature-sensitive items from the shelves until the problem could be resolved. While it was a little disappointing not to have access to the full selection, I actually appreciated seeing the store prioritize food safety and quality standards over convenience. As for the store itself, the layout takes some getting used to. Unlike many Trader Joe's locations that have a straightforward flow, this one is shaped around the unique footprint of the City Point development, and I found navigating the aisles a bit tricky. The store feels narrower and more segmented than other locations, so walking through and finding specific items can require a little extra patience, especially during busy shopping hours. The product selection is largely what you would expect from Trader Joe's: the popular frozen foods, fresh produce, cheeses, snacks, bakery items, flowers, and the chain's well-known private-label products that have earned such a loyal following. However, due to the size and configuration of the store, it seems to carry a somewhat more limited inventory than some of the larger locations. If you're looking for a very specific item, there's always a chance it may be out of stock or not carried here. One thing Trader Joe's consistently does well is value. The store offers high-quality private-label products, fresh produce, dairy, bakery items, specialty cheeses, frozen meals, and seasonal products at prices that remain competitive compared with many supermarkets in New York City. The staff were friendly and helpful despite the temporary refrigeration issue, and the checkout process moved efficiently. Overall, this location may not be my favorite Trader Joe's in terms of layout, but it still delivers the quality products, reasonable prices, and customer service that have made the chain so popular. If you're shopping in Downtown Brooklyn or visiting City Point, it's a convenient place to stock up on groceries. Just be prepared for a slightly different shopping experience than you might find at some of the larger or more traditional Trader Joe's stores."

"I experienced what I perceived as profiling during my recent visit. Several individuals approached me in the aisles, inquiring about my selections, yet never proceeding to purchase those items. This behavior strongly suggested a loss prevention strategy. I find such profiling practices to be highly objectionable. While I cannot definitively state the reason, whether it be my tattoos or my attire, the experience was clearly one of being targeted by loss prevention personnel."
